About Belly Bean

Belly Bean is a cozy coloring and illustration brand created in Montreal. We make coloring books, creative tutorials, and lovable little characters designed to bring more calm, color, and joy into everyday life.

How we create

Every Belly Bean character begins somewhere very close to our hearts. Follow their journey from a beloved stuffed animal to a page colored by someone across the world.

01.

Inspired by our little family

Many of our characters are inspired by the stuffed animals that have been part of our family for years. Each one has their own personality, little habits, and stories that we imagine together.

02.

It Starts with a Sketch

Their personalities inspire each new scene. We begin with a simple idea and a rough sketch, imagining the little adventures they might share.

03.

Becoming a Coloring Page

We carefully refine the composition, characters, and cozy details before completing the final linework by hand. Every page is created to feel charming, imaginative, and relaxing to color.

04.

From Page to Book

The finished illustrations come together as a Belly Bean book. We thoughtfully consider every detail from the story and artwork to the paper, cover, and final coloring experience.
