Coloring a tree may seem simple, but adding depth, texture, and vibrancy can make it come to life. Whether you're using colored pencils, markers, or watercolors, here’s a step-by-step guide to help you create a beautifully shaded tree.
Step 1: Base layer for the leaves with green
Step 2: Add soft shading with darker green
Step 3: Deepen the shadow with dark green
Step 4: Add highlight with dots of yellow for magical glow (use acrylic marker/pen)
Step 5: Base layer for the trunk
Add darker brown along one side with darker brown
Add darker brow to create more depth for the trunk
Create a tree hole with the darkest brown (optional)
Take a look at your work from a distance to see if any areas need adjusting. Sometimes, small tweaks can make a big difference!
